Step dances can be solo dances, or for two or more dancers. A step dance consists typically of some 6 or 8 steps of 8 bars, often ending with a chorus or “close”. The individual movements and steps recur frequently in many dances and show the combined influences of the Scottish, French and Irish traditions. This dance is fun and energetic! We can't wait to share it with you!

A new, dynamic approach to middle-eastern-style bellydance! New dancers will learn dance vocabulary and movements as well as gain strength, balance, and focus, through dance combinations. Seasoned dancers will learn a new approach to familiar bellydance vocabulary through body mechanics and understanding the anatomy of movement. Learn how to increase the impact of your movements while preventing potential injury! Classes may also include the use of props such as veils, canes, and fans.

Learn the basics of FatChanceBellyDance®Style or FCBD®, formerly known as AmericanTribalStyle® or ATS®, with fun combinations and a mixture of slow and fast movements. All basic movements and group formations, as well as the fundamental vocabulary needed to build up to more experienced levels, will be taught in this class.

This style of bellydance involves group improvisation. ITS is performed by dancers consisting of one or more “leaders” with “followers” making up the group. They rely on a shared vocabulary of movements initiated by the leader using distinct cues. The cue guides the followers into performing short choreographed sequences or combos. The leader is guided by the music, often spontaneously, at a dance event. The result is a style that appears to be choreographed but is actually structured improvisation.

Based on a style created by the innovative American dancer, Rachel Brice, this class focuses on muscle group isolations, step patterns, movements, combinations and more. While this class focuses on the Datura™ Style, it can be a valuable component in your dance training because of its versatility and ability to enhance any dance style.

FatChanceBellyDance® Style is an earthy form of dance in which dancers cue movements in an improvisational, group format. In this FCBD®Style Classic class, you will learn the fundamentals, slow and fast movement techniques, drills and skills to be able to dance with any FCBD® dancer.

This is a dynamic dance style commonly seen in East Indian “Bollywood” movies. It utilizes footwork combinations and stylized hand/body movements to create its distinctive style. Bollywood combines classical forms of dance including traditional Indian, folk, salsa and belly dance while also incorporating more contemporary Western forms such as hip hop, jazz and funk. Having no set rules, Bollywood dancing is the perfect means to encourage freedom of expression by anyone at any age. The colorful costuming that is known from this dance form is nothing short of amazing!

n this class we learn the dance, movement, costumes, and nuances of the many different regions of Egypt. Many of these movements have made their way into Oriental dance and other Raqs Sharki styles including fusion styles. Get to know where the roots of those amazing movements came from. Learn Nubian, Saidi, Fellahin, Alexandrian, Ghaweezee, dances from the Suez Canal, Sinai, Siwa and the Eastern and Western deserts.

Indulge in an American passion - hoop dance! Learn hula hooping tricks and dance moves together for a fun workout! A hula hoop can be your dance partner and your dance prop. Hula hoops provided. Join us for some hula hooping!

Couples are preferred but singles are always allowed!
Dance styles include: Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, West Coast Swing and others. These styles allow couples to dance with ease to a variety of music themes from Swing to Latin to Ballroom styles. A different dance style is introduced each month. Come out and experience the magic, the fun, the joy and love of Couples Dance!

Get your body moving and your heart pumping to energetic Latin beats with this fun cardio class! Zumba is a form of aerobic fitness exercise based on Latin American dance rhythms. Participants are taught some basic, easy to learn movements.
